The definite secret to my organisational success is the checklist.
Not a day goes by when I don’t write some sort of physical list, once a task is complete there’s no better feeling than putting a great big tick next to it. I truly believe this is a foolproof way to make your day run smoothly and its so simple, once you’ve been asked to do something (or remembered you’re meant to be doing something) put it on the list.
I’ve always got a notepad and pen in my bag so I can scribble stuff down if it suddenly pops into my head. Then later on I’ll double check back on it to make sure I haven’t forgot anything, and I don’t mean just events planning stuff it’s great for every aspect of life.
If you want to become more organised then it’s the place to start, you’re not going to magically overnight have a diary of everything you’re doing for the next six months and a perfectly tidy desk and computer but you can definitely get yourself a pen and paper.
Once you start listing you’ll wonder how you ever did without it!
